Leith Hill is only a short distance away by car. Large-scale maps are available on request. Within easy reach are National Trust properties including Clandon Park, Polesden Lacey and Winkworth Arboretum. Guildford is half and hour away and is famous for its Cathedral, Castle and Friday Market. It is an excellent shopping centre. Dorking is well known for its antique shops and is now famous for its vineyard - Denbies. Further afield are the historic towns of Chichester and Arundel. Just two minutes from Kerne Hus is Gatton Manor Hotel and Country Club. This has an 18-hole Championship golf course.
